At Mirissa Water Sports, we believe in giving back to the community. As part of our social responsibility initiative, USD 2 from each guest’s payment for the whale watching tour is reserved as a donation to a cancer hospital in Sri Lanka.
This contribution is made on behalf of every guest and goes towards supporting cancer patients, medical care, and essential hospital services. By choosing to tour with us, you are not only enjoying a unique marine wildlife experience but also helping us support an important national cause.
We sincerely thank you for being part of this initiative and for your kind support.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, we avoid the use of plastic as much as possible. Therefore, we have stopped distributing individual plastic mineral water bottles on board.
Instead, water dispensers are available on the boat. Guests are welcome to refill their own bottles or request paper cups from our crew at any time.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to reduce plastic waste and protect the ocean.
For all sea tours, we are required to collect passenger details including full name, nationality, and passport number. This information is needed to complete the official Departure Form and submit it to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard for safety approval before departure.
Please ensure that correct passport numbers are provided. Accurate details are mandatory to obtain permission to go to sea and are also required to be eligible for a free return tour in case whales are not sighted.
Thank you for your cooperation.
